Your Impact
As a Chief Accountant, you will report directly to the Finance Manager and play a critical role in ensuring the financial integrity of the organization.
- Your expertise in public accounting, cost accounting in manufacturing, receipts and payments, tax reporting, and asset accounting will enable accurate financial reporting and regulatory alignment.
- Your attention to detail and strategic mindset will contribute to effective financial management and long-term business growth.
- You will also ensure that cost structures are well-documented and regularly analyzed to improve production efficiency and support informed pricing and profitability decisions.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role entails ensuring that the financial systems are accurate, compliant, and efficient, with timely reporting and analysis that support both day-to-day operations and long-term strategic goals. You’ll leverage your expertise to optimize financial reporting and compliance while supporting a culture of accountability and transparency.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Managing the company’s general ledger, receipts and payments, and tax reporting.
- Overseeing the preparation of financial statements, ensuring compliance with local and international accounting standards.
- Leading external audits and liaising with external stakeholders such as auditors, banks, and tax authorities.
- Monitoring cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting to support financial planning and stability.
- Overseeing the preparation and finalization of financial statements according to local and international accounting standards.
- Monitoring and maintaining cost accounting systems based on standard costing, FIFO/LIFO, or weighted average methods to ensure accurate calculation of manufacturing costs.
- Managing the accounting team, providing leadership, guidance, and development opportunities.
