Your Impact
As a CEO, you will lead the company’s full strategic, operational, and commercial direction in the upstream oil & gas sector.
- You will define and execute exploration, drilling, and field development strategies in alignment with organizational and holding-level goals.
- You will build and manage the technical, operational, and commercial structures required to deliver competitive upstream projects.
- You will serve as the primary representative of the company to partners, regulators, and financial institutions, ensuring transparency, governance, and value creation.

You’ll achieve this by winning new contracts, executing high-value exploration and development projects, maintaining financial discipline, and ensuring safe, compliant, and optimized operational performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading full-cycle upstream strategy, including exploration, drilling, reservoir management, and field development.
- Managing day-to-day executive oversight of the company within the governance framework defined by the Board.
- Reporting operational, financial, and strategic progress to the Board regularly.
- Guiding the acquisition of oil & gas projects under IPC, EPDF, BOO, and other contractual models.
- Overseeing technical, economic studies, feasibility assessments, risk evaluations, CAPEX/OPEX modeling, and project prioritization.
- Managing project bidding, from preparing proposals and commercial packages to leading negotiations with authorities and partners.
- Establishing organizational, technical, and operational structures for upstream execution.
- Leading multidisciplinary teams across subsurface, drilling, operations, commercial, finance, legal, and HSE.
- Overseeing contractor selection, tendering, contract negotiation, and performance management across drilling and field development services.
- Supervising supply chain and logistics for rigs, well services, materials, and critical equipment.
- Ensuring strong project governance, progress monitoring, performance reporting, and KPI tracking.
- Managing budgets, financial planning, and capital allocation across all upstream projects.
- Presenting reports, business plans, and technical–financial outcomes to the Board while providing strong executive leadership.
- Ensuring full compliance with legal, regulatory, corporate governance, and HSE standards.
- Maintaining high-level relationships with governmental bodies, regulators, national oil companies, and strategic partners.
What You Bring
To excel in this role:
- You have proven senior-level leadership experience in upstream oil & gas (E&P).
- You bring hands-on experience in exploration, drilling, reservoir engineering, and field development projects.
- You have a successful record of securing and delivering upstream contracts (IPC, EPDF, BOO, etc.).
- You are highly skilled in building organizations, defining processes, and structuring operational units.
- You possess strong financial and commercial acumen with expertise in project economics, budgeting, CAPEX/OPEX evaluation, and contract negotiation.
- You have experience managing contractors, drilling service providers, and multidisciplinary technical teams.
- You excel at data-driven decision-making using KPIs, dashboards, and technical–financial metrics.
- You demonstrate strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and executive-level negotiation skills.
- You hold a Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering (reservoir/drilling/production) or related fields such as Mechanical, Chemical, Geophysics, or Petroleum Geology.

- Extensive experience in upstream E&P operations.
