- Designing, developing, and maintaining PHP-based applications using Vanilla PHP and modern frameworks.
- Writing clean, scalable, and reusable code with a strong emphasis on pure coding principles.
- Collaborating with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Leading code reviews and ensuring adherence to engineering best practices.
- Optimizing application performance, security, and scalability in production environments.
- Troubleshooting, debugging, and upgrading existing applications.
- Mentoring and supporting junior engineers to foster a high-performing development culture.
- Ensuring proper documentation and knowledge-sharing within the engineering team.
What You Bring
To excel in this role:
- Strong expertise in PHP with proven expertise in writing pure code.
- Proven professional experience as a back-end developer, ideally in large-scale, production-grade applications.
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming (OOP) and software architecture principles.
- Experience with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and query optimization.
- Familiarity with APIs, RESTful services, and third-party integrations.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and Docker/Kubernetes.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills in high-pressure environments.
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and collaborative workflows.
