Key Responsibilities Include:
- Leading backend development efforts with a focus on PHP and modern best practices.
- Designing scalable and secure APIs for job listings, applications, messaging, and matching algorithms.
- Collaborating with DevOps to implement CI/CD pipelines and improve cloud infrastructure performance.
- Managing code quality through reviews, testing strategies, and technical documentation
- Working closely with product, design, and data teams to translate business needs into robust technical solutions.
- Mentoring developers and promoting engineering best practices within the team.
- Monitoring system performance, responding to incidents, and planning infrastructure improvements.
- Overseeing versioning, release cycles, and smooth feature rollouts in a fast-paced environment.
What You Bring
To excel in this role:
- You are highly proficient in PHP and RESTful API design
- You have experience designing systems that handle high traffic, data privacy, and user security.
- You’ve worked with MySQL or PostgreSQL, plus NoSQL tools like Redis or Elasticsearch.
- You have DevOps experience: Docker, GitLab CI/CD, infrastructure monitoring, and cloud (e.g., AWS or GCP)
- You are familiar with container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes) and system observability tools.
- You enjoy mentoring team members and building a culture of trust, ownership, and continuous learning.
