About the role
HR Bamboos is hiring a Senior Backend Developer on behalf of a growing FinTech company. We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer who will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and reliable backend services.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using PHP and Laravel
- Develop and improve services based on Microservices architecture and software design principles
- Design and develop scalable and reliable APIs and improve existing services
- Contribute to backend architecture decisions and select appropriate technical solutions based on product requirements
- Analyze and optimize the performance, scalability, and reliability of backend services
- Design and improve database structures and optimize queries and data-access processes
- Identify and resolve technical issues, bugs, and performance challenges in production environments
- Collaborate closely with Product, Frontend, QA, and DevOps teams to develop and deliver new features
- Participate in code reviews and ensure code quality, readability, and maintainability
- Document services, APIs, and technical decisions and contribute to improving development standards
- Contribute to designing and implementing technical solutions that improve product scalability and reliability
- Evaluate and adopt relevant technologies and tools to improve backend development processes
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in Backend Development
- Strong proficiency in PHP and solid experience in backend development
- Strong hands-on experience with Laravel and developing production-grade applications using the framework
- Practical experience designing and developing Microservices architectures
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development
- Solid knowledge of OOP, Design Patterns, and SOLID principles
- Hands-on experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, including query optimization
- Experience with Redis and Message Brokers
- Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD practices, and experience working with production environments
- Good understanding of scalability, high availability, and distributed systems
- Strong analytical skills and a practical approach to problem-solving.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Nice to have
- Experience in FinTech, financial services, or payment products is a plus
