Senior Backend Developer (PHP)

HR Bamboos is hiring a Senior Backend Developer on behalf of a growing FinTech company. We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer who will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and reliable backend services.

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using PHP and Laravel
• Develop and improve services based on Microservices architecture and software design principles
• Design and develop scalable and reliable APIs and improve existing services
• Contribute to backend architecture decisions and select appropriate technical solutions based on product requirements
• Analyze and optimize the performance, scalability, and reliability of backend services
• Design and improve database structures and optimize queries and data-access processes
• Identify and resolve technical issues, bugs, and performance challenges in production environments
• Collaborate closely with Product, Frontend, QA, and DevOps teams to develop and deliver new features
• Participate in code reviews and ensure code quality, readability, and maintainability
• Document services, APIs, and technical decisions and contribute to improving development standards
• Contribute to designing and implementing technical solutions that improve product scalability and reliability
• Evaluate and adopt relevant technologies and tools to improve backend development processes

• 5+ years of professional experience in Backend Development
• Strong proficiency in PHP and solid experience in backend development
• Strong hands-on experience with Laravel and developing production-grade applications using the framework
• Practical experience designing and developing Microservices architectures
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development
• Solid knowledge of OOP, Design Patterns, and SOLID principles
• Hands-on experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, including query optimization
• Experience with Redis and Message Brokers
• Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD practices, and experience working with production environments
• Good understanding of scalability, high availability, and distributed systems
• Strong analytical skills and a practical approach to problem-solving.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

• Experience in FinTech, financial services, or payment products is a plus
