Forward Deployed Engineer

HR Bamboos is hiring on behalf of a Healthtech company for a Forward Deployed Engineer. We are looking for an experienced software engineer with strong technical and integration expertise to work directly alongside clients, leading solution architecture, custom configurations, software integrations, and deployment. The role focuses on driving complex technical implementations from initial scoping through to successful production go-live.

• Own the end-to-end technical implementation and deployment lifecycle of the software platform across assigned client accounts and projects.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for prospective and existing clients, translating deep platform knowledge into practical solutions and successful production outcomes.
• Scope requirements, design architectures, and build custom configurations and integrations tailored to client needs and platform capabilities.
• Lead complex technical implementations involving software architecture, data integration, and clinical safety, proactively resolving technical blockers that could delay go-live.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Core Engineering, Privacy, Regulatory, and client technical teams to ensure implementation accuracy and high-quality delivery.

• Deep technical skills in software engineering, systems architecture, or integration engineering, with a strong track record of writing clean code, building integrations, and leading technical deliveries.
• Proven track record of building, deploying, and supporting enterprise software integrations, including API integrations, security reviews, and data-compliance checks.
• Strong technical communication skills, with expertise in discussing software architecture, data pipelines, regulatory requirements, and security compliance.
• Strong understanding of production go-live requirements and technical delivery processes, with a focus on efficient and reliable implementation.
• Strong ownership and project management skills, including tracking implementation milestones and taking accountability for delivery outcomes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skill, with strong ability in discussing integration architecture with client engineers and explaining technical trade-offs to project leads.
• Solid knowledge of composable platform architectures and the technical skills to extend configurable foundations to support diverse clinical and research use cases.
• English proficiency at C1 level or higher.

• Previous experience in Healthtech or Digital Health, or hands-on development experience in Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) or clinical software environments.
• Familiarity with healthcare data standards and interoperability protocols, including HL7, FHIR, and DICOM, as well as how healthcare providers, CROs, and pharmaceutical companies integrate third-party software.
• Hands-on experience with regulatory frameworks and compliance standards such as FDA, MDR/IVDR, HIPAA, GDPR, and ISO 27001/13485.
• Strong hands-on proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), modern APIs (REST/GraphQL), containerization technologies, and AI/ML data-processing pipelines.
• Experience in roles that combine core software engineering expertise with client-facing technical delivery.
