HR Bamboos is hiring on behalf of a company operating in the international trade sector for a Chief Operating Officer (COO). We’re looking for an experienced operations leader to oversee and optimize the company’s end-to-end operational activities, with a strong focus on logistics, operational planning, inventory management, and warehousing.
This role combines operational leadership, supply-chain coordination, and process optimization to ensure the efficient movement, storage, and distribution of goods across the company’s trading operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for improving operational efficiency, optimizing costs, strengthening planning and inventory control, and ensuring seamless coordination across import, logistics, warehouse, and commercial functions.

• Develop and execute the company’s operational strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, commercial priorities, and overall performance targets.
• Oversee end-to-end logistics operations, including international transportation, freight coordination, customs clearance, domestic distribution, and delivery planning.
• Lead operational planning and scheduling processes, aligning import shipments, product availability, warehouse capacity, and customer delivery requirements.
• Establish and optimize inventory management processes, including stock monitoring, replenishment planning, inventory turnover, and slow-moving or obsolete stock control.
• Coordinate closely with procurement, sales, finance, and external logistics partners to ensure operational alignment and uninterrupted product flow.
• Monitor and optimize logistics, warehousing, transportation, and inventory-related costs while maintaining service quality and operational reliability.
• Establish standardized operating procedures, performance metrics, and reporting mechanisms to improve operational visibility, accountability, and process consistency.
• Identify operational bottlenecks, assess risks, and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce delays, and minimize operational losses.
• Lead, develop, and manage operational teams, fostering a performance-driven culture focused on efficiency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee the use and improvement of ERP, warehouse management, and inventory control systems to strengthen operational planning, stock visibility, and data accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with applicable customs regulations, import requirements, warehouse safety standards, and relevant operational procedures.

• 10+ years of professional experience in operations, logistics, supply chain, or related fields, with a proven track record in senior operational management.
• Strong hands-on experience in logistics management, preferably within international trade, import, or distribution businesses.
• Demonstrated expertise in operational planning, shipment scheduling, resource allocation, and coordinating multiple operational workflows.
• Solid experience in warehouse management, inventory control, stock reconciliation, replenishment planning, and warehouse process optimization.
• Strong understanding of international transportation, freight forwarding, customs clearance, import procedures, and domestic distribution operations.
• Proven skills in optimizing operational costs, improving inventory turnover, reducing delivery lead times, and enhancing overall operational efficiency.
• Experience in implementing operational KPIs, standard operating procedures, and performance monitoring systems.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), and inventory planning tools.
• Proven leadership experience, with skills in managing cross-functional teams and coordinating effectively with commercial, procurement, finance, and logistics stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to operational decision-making.
