About the role
HR Bamboos is hiring on behalf of a company in the FMCG sector. We're seeking a Chief Accountant to own the accounting function, ensure accurate books and reporting, and keep the company fully compliant.
Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day accounting and the general ledger
- Prepare accurate financial statements and closings
- Manage tax filings and regulatory compliance
- Oversee payables, receivables and reconciliations
- Improve accounting processes and controls
- Lead and mentor the accounting team
Requirements
- 6+ years in accounting, including a senior/chief role
- Strong command of accounting standards and tax law
- Experience with monthly/annual closing and reporting
- Proficiency with accounting/ERP software
- Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance
- High attention to detail and integrity
Nice to have
- FMCG or distribution experience
- Team-leadership experience
- Familiarity with IFRS
