About the role
We are looking for an HR Manager to lead human resources operations for a manufacturing company. This role works closely with plant leadership, production supervisors, and employees.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR plans aligned with the plant’s operational objectives
- Partner with plant leadership on workforce planning and production staffing requirements
- Manage recruitment, selection, hiring, and onboarding processes
- Oversee employee records, contracts, attendance, personnel changes, and HR administration
- Manage employee relations and address workplace concerns, grievances, and conflicts
- Ensure compliance with labor regulations, social security requirements, and internal policies
- Manage performance evaluation processes and support employee performance improvement
- Identify training needs and coordinate employee and leadership development programs
- Develop employee-retention, engagement, and succession-planning initiatives
- Advise managers and supervisors on employee matters, performance, and disciplinary processes
- Partner with the HSE team to strengthen workplace safety culture and compliance
- Monitor workforce metrics, including turnover, absenteeism, recruitment, productivity, and engagement
- Prepare HR reports and provide actionable recommendations to management
- Lead and develop the HR team and maintain consistent service quality
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional HR experience, including experience in a management role
- Previous HR experience within a manufacturing, plant, or operations-based environment
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Management, Industrial Relations, or a related field
- Solid knowledge of labor regulations, social security requirements, and employee relations
- Hands-on experience in recruitment, performance management, training, and employee relations
- A clear understanding of plant workforce structures and the needs of operational and office employees
- Strong HR metrics analysis and management-reporting skills
- Familiarity with HRIS, attendance systems, and Microsoft Office
- Strong consultation and communication skills across leadership, supervisors, and employees
- Strong conflict-resolution, trust-building, and sensitive-conversation management skills
